Prof. Klaus Corcilius holds the chair of ancient philosophy at the University of Tübingen, where he is also the philosophy department chair. He is also the editor of Rhizomata: A Journal for Ancient Philosophy and Science. As an expert on ancient philosophy, especially Plato and Aristotle, he has published and edited several books, including a monograph on Aristotle’s theory of animal motion (Streben und Bewegen, 2008), and (as co-editor with Christoph Rapp) the Aristoteles Handbuch (2011). He is presiding an ERC(European Research Council)-Project "Text and Idea of Aristotle's Science of Living Things".
